Report #99443

[agent\_craft] Status updates and reports get dates and times wrong or look unprofessional

Use Arabic numerals for dates and times, lowercase a.m./p.m. with periods, write 'noon' and 'midnight' instead of 12 a.m./p.m., and drop ':00' for exact hours.

Journey Context:
Agents often output '12am', '7:00 PM', or 'July 4th, 2026' because that's how people speak, but AP style treats these as errors. Lowercase 'a.m.' and 'p.m.' with periods, omit ':00' \('7 p.m.'\), and use 'noon'/'midnight' to avoid ambiguity. For month-day-year, set off the year with commas \('Aug. 6, 2026, was...'\). Months longer than five letters are abbreviated before a date. The payoff is consistency with journalism and PR conventions; the cost is memorizing a few exceptions, but for status reports and release notes the format is expected.
