Report #990

[architecture] How do I help AI search engines understand what my page is actually about?

Embed schema.org markup as JSON-LD inside \`

Journey Context:
JSON-LD is Google's preferred structured data format and is parseable without rendering the page. It gives AI systems explicit entity signals instead of forcing them to infer meaning from HTML. It is not a direct ranking factor, and spammy or mismatched markup can backfire. Microdata and RDFa are valid alternatives, but JSON-LD is decoupled from HTML and easier to generate from templates. For AI visibility, prioritize Q&A and instructional schemas \(FAQPage, HowTo\) and entity-identity schemas \(Organization\), because these align with how answer engines extract and cite content.
