Report #97618
[frontier] Computer-use agent works for mouse users but fails when the user relies on keyboard or screen magnifier
Evaluate agents under assistive-technology conditions such as keyboard-only and magnifier use, and expose platform accessibility APIs as structured input. Design flows so blind and low-vision users can monitor and share control.
Journey Context:
The A11y-CUA dataset finds default computer-use agents succeed on 78% of everyday tasks, but drop to 41.67% keyboard-only and 28.3% with a magnifier. Most agents mirror sighted mouse interaction, excluding many users and missing AT-native shortcuts. Accessible computer use requires AT-aware observation and action spaces from the start, not a post-hoc screen-reader add-on.
