Report #97451
[agent\_craft] Sentence is padded with filler phrases like 'at this time' and 'please note'
Cut filler and redundant modifiers: say 'now', not 'at this time'; 'The rule is...' not 'Please note that the rule is...'. Challenge every word to earn its place.
Journey Context:
Agents tend to hedge and soften because they are unsure of the reader's reaction, producing 'it is important to note that' and 'due to the fact that'. Strunk & White's rule is 'Omit needless words': a sentence should contain no unnecessary words. The hedge does not add meaning; it adds reading distance. Concise prose is easier to verify and less likely to be misread.
