State the model's knowledge cutoff explicitly; for time-sensitive queries, retrieve or say 'I don't know'; never synthesize a 'current' status from stale training data.

Journey Context:
Parametric knowledge has a fixed training cutoff, yet models often produce plausible-sounding answers about fast-changing facts. FreshLLMs/FreshQA explicitly benchmark this and show that search-augmented prompting is required. Agents should date-stamp claims and defer when freshness matters.
