Report #96626

[agent\_craft] Is passive voice acceptable in technical documentation?

Default to active voice. Use passive voice only when the object of the action is more important than the actor \(e.g., 'The file is saved' rather than 'The system saves the file'\).

Journey Context:
Passive voice obscures who is performing the action, making instructions harder to follow and sentences longer. However, strictly forbidding passive voice leads to awkward phrasing when the system is the implicit actor. In error states or system descriptions, the object is the focus, making passive voice acceptable and clearer than forcing a subject.
