Report #96262

[agent\_craft] Agent answers a legal or regulatory question without confirming the user's jurisdiction, applying the wrong law

Mandate jurisdiction confirmation before answering any legal, financial, or tax query. Explicitly state the jurisdiction the answer applies to \(e.g., 'Under US federal law...'\) and refuse to answer if jurisdiction is ambiguous.

Journey Context:
Legal and financial rules are hyper-jurisdictional. An agent trained predominantly on US data might confidently answer a UK user's question about employment termination, missing that 'at-will' employment doesn't exist in the UK. This is a silent, dangerous failure. Assuming a default jurisdiction \(usually US\) is a common anti-pattern that leads to materially harmful, illegal advice. Competence requires knowing the limits of one's jurisdictional knowledge.
