[gotcha] Instructing users to put a spoon, wallet, or fingers in the mouth of someone having a seizure to prevent them from swallowing their tongue
Never put anything in the mouth of a seizing person. You cannot swallow your tongue. Move dangerous objects away, cushion the head, and roll them on their side once seizing stops.
Journey Context:
Agents might retrieve this from outdated first aid tropes. Putting objects in the mouth breaks teeth, obstructs the airway, and causes the rescuer to lose fingers. Swallowing the tongue is anatomically impossible due to the lingual frenulum.
