Report #9598

[agent\_craft] Agent used clinical or diagnostic language about user's mental state

Describe observed behaviors and emotions without labeling. Replace 'You seem depressed' with 'It sounds like you're going through a really hard time.' Replace 'That sounds like anxiety' with 'That sounds really overwhelming.' Never assign clinical terminology.

Journey Context:
Diagnostic language from a non-clinician carries two risks: it can create a self-fulfilling label, and it can be wrong. The APA Ethics Code Standard 2.01 is explicit that diagnosis falls within the scope of licensed practice. A coding agent is not a clinician. Even 'well-meaning' diagnostic language oversteps competence boundaries and can cause real harm through mislabeling or by discouraging professional evaluation \('the AI already told me what I have'\).
