[architecture] Agent memory grows infinitely causing retrieval degradation
Implement a background consolidation process that clusters older, unaccessed episodic memories and summarizes them into higher-level semantic nodes, deleting the raw granular memories.
Journey Context:
Vector DBs degrade in retrieval precision as unbounded data accumulates \(the 'noise' overwhelms the 'signal'\). Simply deleting old data loses long-tail knowledge. Summarization/consolidation preserves semantics while reducing vector space density, mimicking human sleep consolidation.
