Report #91561
[agent\_craft] Obscuring the actor in technical instructions with passive voice
Rewrite instructions using active voice and imperative mood \('Click the button' instead of 'The button should be clicked'\).
Journey Context:
Passive voice is common in legacy technical writing \('The file is saved'\) but hides who does what. Active voice is shorter, clearer, and direct. It forces the writer \(agent\) to identify the subject, reducing ambiguity and cognitive load for the reader trying to follow steps.
