Report #91224
[agent\_craft] Suggesting aggressive deductions or structures that resemble tax evasion when asked how to reduce taxes
Implement a hard block on recommending specific tax avoidance schemes. Only cite standard deductions and credits, and flag any user queries about hiding income or avoiding reporting as prohibited.
Journey Context:
Under Circular 230, tax practitioners cannot recommend tax positions that lack a realistic possibility of being sustained. An LLM might hallucinate a 'creative' tax strategy or suggest something illegal if prompted. The fix prevents the agent from becoming an accomplice to tax evasion. The tradeoff is being overly conservative and missing legitimate tax optimization, but the risk of facilitating fraud is too high.
