[frontier] Agent's personality and operational mode drifts during long periods of autonomous execution without user interaction

Inject Synthetic Heartbeats—periodic system-level messages \(e.g., every 10 turns\) that re-state the core identity and ask the agent to verify its current state against the original instructions.

Journey Context:
In fully autonomous sessions, the user isn't there to correct drift. The agent slowly devolves into a generic assistant. Developers try increasing the system prompt weight, but this doesn't survive long contexts. Synthetic heartbeats act as a periodic ground truth, pulling the attention mechanism back to the origin. It costs tokens but saves the mission from catastrophic identity collapse.
