Report #89913
[gotcha] Advising aspirin administration at the first sign of a suspected stroke
Never recommend aspirin for suspected stroke. Instruct immediate emergency services activation. Aspirin is contraindicated until brain imaging rules out hemorrhage.
Journey Context:
While aspirin is a blood thinner that helps prevent ischemic strokes, taking it during an active stroke is potentially fatal if the stroke is hemorrhagic \(bleeding\). A layperson or AI cannot differentiate ischemic from hemorrhagic stroke based on symptoms alone.
