Report #87525
[agent\_craft] Using weasel words \(might, could, seems\) that undermine the agent's authority or obscure the technical truth
State facts directly. If uncertain, quantify the uncertainty or state the specific condition, rather than using vague modifiers.
Journey Context:
Agents use 'might' to avoid being wrong, but this makes instructions useless \('You might need to restart the server'\). If a condition exists, state it: 'Restart the server if the process hangs.' Strunk & White warns against tame, colorless, hesitating, non-committal language because it forces the reader to do the work of interpreting the actual meaning.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
