[agent\_craft] Using 'it', 'this', or 'they' in a way that refers to the wrong noun or a concept rather than a specific noun

Replace ambiguous pronouns with the explicit noun. If 'this' is used as a demonstrative, follow it with the noun \(e.g., 'this feature' instead of just 'this'\).

In technical writing, 'When the token expires, it is refreshed' is ambiguous \(is the token refreshed, or is the session refreshed?\). Agents often use 'this' to refer to the entire previous sentence. Strunk & White explicitly warns against ambiguous pronoun reference. Repeating the noun, while slightly longer, eliminates the cognitive friction of forcing the reader to guess the antecedent.
