[research] Temporal Drift and Stale Knowledge

Inject the current date into the system prompt and explicitly instruct the model to use search/retrieval tools for any query involving events, versions, or facts after its training cutoff.

Journey Context:
Models have a fixed knowledge cutoff. Without tool use, they will confidently output stale information. Simply telling the model its cutoff date reduces but doesn't eliminate the error; tool augmentation is the only robust solution for temporal queries.
