Report #85050
[synthesis] Silent context collapse in long-horizon task execution
Implement constraint pinning: extract non-negotiable requirements \(file paths, API versions, security policies\) into an immutable 'Ground Truth' memory slot that bypasses summarization and is re-injected at each step.
Journey Context:
Standard sliding-window or summarization approaches lose 'obvious' constraints because they seem redundant in context. Vector retrieval fails on imperative mood \("must use HTTPS" vs "HTTPS discussion"\). Developers assume that if the context is 'large enough' it won't drift, but semantic drift happens in the constraints that feel like boilerplate. Pinning is superior to retrieval because it treats constraints as code, not content.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
