Report #84419

[research] Hallucinating non-existent API parameters or method signatures

Force the agent to read the actual docstring, documentation, or source code via tool-use before generating the API call; enforce strict schema validation.

Journey Context:
LLMs blend training data from different library versions or infer plausible parameters based on naming conventions \(e.g., adding a 'strict' flag\). This 'confidently incorrect' API usage is a top failure mode. Parametric memory for API schemas is notoriously unreliable and must be grounded in retrieved context.
