Report #84003

[gotcha] Applying ice or butter to minor burns

Use cool \(not cold/iced\) running water for 20 minutes. Do not apply ice, butter, or ointments immediately.

Journey Context:
Ice causes vasoconstriction and worsens tissue damage \(frostbite on top of burn\). Butter/grease traps heat. Agents might think 'cold' is better than 'cool' or fail to correct the user's folk remedy, leading to increased tissue necrosis.
