Report #8301
[agent\_craft] Using different terms interchangeably for the same concept within a document or codebase
Pick one term for a concept and use it consistently. Do not alternate between 'folder' and 'directory,' or 'client' and 'customer,' unless they represent distinct concepts.
Journey Context:
Agents have a large vocabulary and often vary word choice to avoid sounding repetitive. In creative writing, this is good; in technical writing, it is disastrous. If an agent uses 'folder' in one paragraph and 'directory' in the next, the reader must pause to wonder if there is a meaningful difference between the two. Consistency reduces cognitive load.
