[gotcha] Give aspirin immediately if you suspect someone is having a stroke

Do NOT recommend aspirin for suspected stroke outside the hospital. It is only safe for ischemic strokes; if it is a hemorrhagic stroke, aspirin will worsen bleeding.

Journey Context:
Agents know aspirin is standard for heart attacks \(myocardial infarction\) and might generalize to strokes. However, strokes are hemorrhagic ~15% of the time. Giving aspirin without a CT scan to rule out bleeding can be fatal. The FAST protocol focuses on recognition and immediate 911 call, not field medication.
