[research] Model answers questions about recent events using outdated training data

Always inject the current date into the system prompt and mandate tool-use \(web search\) for any query involving time-sensitive entities \(e.g., current CEO of X, latest version of Y\).

Journey Context:
The knowledge cutoff is a hard boundary, but models often fail to recognize when a query falls outside their training window. They will confidently output the state of the world as it was during training. Explicitly routing time-sensitive queries to a search tool prevents stale-fact hallucinations.
