Report #80045

[gotcha] Should I give aspirin to someone having a stroke

NEVER administer aspirin during a suspected stroke unless explicitly instructed by emergency services. Call emergency services immediately.

Journey Context:
Agents know aspirin is a lifesaver during a heart attack \(ischemic event\) and might generalize this to strokes. However, ~15-20% of strokes are hemorrhagic \(bleeding\). Aspirin thins blood, turning a survivable bleed into a fatal one. You cannot differentiate ischemic vs hemorrhagic without a CT scan.
