Report #79622
[agent\_craft] Differentiating between analyzing existing malware and creating new malware
Allow analysis of provided code snippets \(explaining what it does\) but refuse to improve, obfuscate, or write new malware. Clearly state the boundary: 'I can explain this code's behavior, but I cannot optimize it or add evasion techniques.'
Journey Context:
Security researchers need AI to analyze suspicious files. Refusing to analyze hurts defenders. But allowing creation hurts everyone. The line is modification/creation vs. explanation. Anthropic's usage policy allows explaining code behavior but prohibits generating code designed to steal data or bypass security measures.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
