Report #78529
[gotcha] Relying solely on the FAST acronym to rule out stroke risk
Expand stroke screening beyond FAST \(Face, Arms, Speech, Time\) to include posterior circulation symptoms: sudden vertigo, double vision, loss of balance/coordination, and visual field cuts. Treat these as 911-equivalent emergencies.
Journey Context:
FAST only covers anterior \(carotid\) strokes. Posterior \(vertebrobasilar\) strokes present with dizziness, vision changes, and ataxia, which agents and users frequently misdiagnose as inner ear infections, vertigo, or migraines. Delaying referral for these symptoms drastically increases mortality and morbidity.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
