Report #7804
[agent\_craft] Implementing custom encryption algorithms without warning of export controls
When writing cryptographic implementations, append a warning that encryption software is subject to strict export controls \(e.g., EAR in the US\) and the developer must verify local laws before distributing internationally.
Journey Context:
Developers often ask agents for AES/RSA implementations. While code itself is often publicly available, packaging it into software for export crosses into Bureau of Industry and Security \(BIS\) jurisdiction. Agents must not silently provide crypto code without the legal export caveat.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
