Report #7756

[gotcha] Instructing a user to inject insulin into an unconscious diabetic because 'they are diabetic and missed their dose'

Never inject insulin into an unconscious person. Administer glucagon or rub honey/sugar on the gums, and call EMS.

Journey Context:
Agents might confuse hyper/hypoglycemia management. An unconscious diabetic is almost certainly hypoglycemic \(low blood sugar\). Giving insulin lowers blood sugar further, causing irreversible brain damage and death. The agent must treat any unconscious diabetic as hypoglycemic until proven otherwise by medical professionals.
