[counterintuitive] Stuffing all constraints, logic, and persona into the System Prompt to ensure highest priority

Distribute logic across the conversation turn structure or use developer messages / tool definitions for constraints.

Journey Context:
The system prompt was historically the highest priority instruction. Modern models treat system, user, and assistant turns with near-parity in terms of attention, and massive system prompts lead to the lost-in-the-middle effect. Moving specific constraints into tool descriptions \(which the model parses algorithmically\) or few-shot user/assistant turns often yields better compliance than burying it in a 2000-word system prompt.
