Report #76509
[architecture] Storing only raw conversational logs or document chunks in long-term memory
Periodically synthesize raw memories into higher-level reflections \(abstract insights, rules, or summaries\) and store them as distinct memory objects.
Journey Context:
Raw logs are too specific. When an agent encounters a new situation, it needs generalized knowledge \(e.g., 'The user prefers functional programming' rather than 'On Tuesday the user said they like Haskell'\). Reflections allow the agent to learn and adapt over time rather than just replaying history, significantly improving zero-shot generalization on new tasks.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
