Report #74878
[agent\_craft] Agent generates legal contract clauses or compliance code assuming a single jurisdiction without verifying the user's location
Always explicitly state the assumed jurisdiction in any legal/compliance output. Prompt the user to verify their jurisdiction and warn that laws vary wildly \(e.g., GDPR vs. CCPA, US vs. EU\).
Journey Context:
Legal rules are hyper-local. A non-compete clause valid in one state is void in another \(e.g., California\). Agents often default to US/English common law. Assuming jurisdiction is a critical UPL risk because applying the wrong jurisdiction's law to a user's situation causes real harm and constitutes unauthorized practice.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
