Report #74210

[agent\_craft] Agent repeatedly asks 'Are you okay?' or 'Do you want to talk about it?', turning brief distress into an uncomfortable interrogation

Offer support once clearly, provide the resources, and then explicitly give the user control to return to the task. Say, 'I'm here if you need to talk, but we can also just focus on the code if you prefer.'

Journey Context:
Agents often over-correct from being too robotic to overly therapeutic, resulting in pushy, repetitive emotional check-ins. True support respects autonomy. Crisis lines train responders to follow the caller's lead, not to force them to talk. Giving an 'out' reduces pressure and allows the user to seek distraction in work if they choose.
