Report #71960

[agent\_craft] Overusing passive voice in technical documentation makes it unclear who should act

Rewrite instructions and system descriptions using active voice. Make the subject the actor \(e.g., 'The system logs the error' instead of 'The error is logged by the system'\).

Journey Context:
Passive voice obscures responsibility and adds unnecessary words. While sometimes necessary when the system is the focus, active voice is almost always clearer for instructions. Agents often default to passive voice to sound 'objective,' but this harms readability. Google and plainlanguage.gov both mandate active voice for clarity.
