Report #71115

[gotcha] Is Drug X Pregnancy Category C?

Do not use the A/B/C/D/X system. Use the FDA Pregnancy and Lactation Labeling Rule \(PLLR\) narrative summaries to assess risk.

Journey Context:
Agents trained on older medical texts default to the A, B, C, D, X categories. The FDA explicitly removed this in 2015 because it was too simplistic and misinterpreted. Agents hallucinating 'Category C' can mislead patients into thinking a drug is 'moderately safe' when it actually means animal reproduction studies showed adverse effects and there are no human studies.
