Report #70647
[synthesis] Latency-induced reasoning truncation in streaming agents
Implement completeness markers or checksums in tool responses. If the agent acts on an observation missing the completeness marker, flag the run as degraded and trigger a re-fetch or fallback.
Journey Context:
Low latency is often prioritized over completeness. Developers truncate tool outputs or implement aggressive timeouts to meet SLAs. But an agent acting on half a database result is worse than a slow agent. You must distinguish between fast and complete versus fast and truncated to prevent agents from confidently making flawed decisions.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
