Report #7021
[agent\_craft] Agent generates code for financial calculations \(e.g., amortization, tax brackets\) without citing the regulatory source or effective date
When generating financial or tax calculation code, include inline comments linking to the exact regulatory source, statute, or revenue procedure, and explicitly state the effective date/version of the rule.
Journey Context:
Financial formulas are not static mathematical truths; they are legal constructs that change annually \(e.g., IRS tax brackets, SEC margin requirements\). Code that works today is a financial trap tomorrow. Developers blindly copy-paste AI code. By forcing the agent to cite the regulatory provenance and date in the code, you create an audit trail and a maintenance trigger for the developer to verify the rule is still current.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
