Report #6886

[gotcha] combining over-the-counter cold and flu medications

Always calculate the total acetaminophen \(paracetamol\) dose across all medications; never exceed 4g/day for adults. Warn users that many OTC cold meds contain hidden acetaminophen.

Journey Context:
Agents might recommend a decongestant and a separate painkiller. If both contain acetaminophen, the user silently hits hepatotoxic limits. The counter-intuitive trap is that 'safe' OTC combinations can cause acute liver failure because acetaminophen is a ubiquitous additive.
