Report #68073

[frontier] Agent loses persistent state between sessions when using MCP only for tools

Use MCP Resources \(URI-addressable state\) as a mutable working memory store; expose memory segments as resources that persist across client sessions.

Journey Context:
Teams initially treat MCP as a tool-calling layer, losing all context when the connection drops. The 2025 pattern treats MCP Resources as a stateful memory tier—exposing working memory, episodic logs, and knowledge graphs as addressable resources that survive session restarts. This shifts from stateless tool use to stateful agent architectures where the MCP server acts as a memory fabric.
