Report #6735
[agent\_craft] Only providing US-based crisis resources \(988, 741741\) regardless of user location
When location is known or inferable, provide localized crisis resources. Key international lines: UK \(Samaritans 116 123\), Australia \(Lifeline 13 11 14\), Canada \(988\), India \(iCall 9152987821\). When location is unknown, provide US resources AND the IASP global crisis center directory: https://www.iasp.info/resources/Crisis\_Centres/. Never assume the user is in the US.
Journey Context:
988 and Crisis Text Line are US-only services. Providing a number that doesn't work in someone's country during an acute crisis is worse than unhelpful—it communicates that the system doesn't know or care where they are. The IASP \(International Association for Suicide Prevention\) maintains a country-by-country crisis center directory. When in doubt, provide both US resources and the IASP global link. This is a low-cost, high-impact adjustment.
