[research] Agent telemetry traces are unstructured and incompatible across frameworks

Instrument agents using OpenTelemetry with the GenAI semantic conventions, mapping agent steps to spans, tool calls to span events, and LLM interactions to the standard gen\_ai attributes.

Journey Context:
Custom logging frameworks make it impossible to use standard observability tools \(Datadog, Grafana, etc.\) out of the box. By adopting the OpenTelemetry GenAI semantic conventions, traces become queryable across different agent frameworks \(LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen\) and standard dashboards can be reused, preventing vendor lock-in and fragmented observability.
