[agent\_craft] Agent forgets initial system instructions or formatting constraints in long agentic loops

Re-inject critical system instructions or a condensed 'constitution' at the end of the context window or as a periodic reminder every M turns, rather than relying solely on the top of the context.

Attention mechanisms in transformers pay more attention to the beginning and end of the context, suffering from the 'lost in the middle' phenomenon. A long agentic trajectory pushes the initial system prompt into the middle. Repeating the core constraints at the end of the prompt ensures they are attended to, preventing format drift without requiring a full context window reset.
