Report #63963

[gotcha] Asthmatics must never take ibuprofen

Do not universally contraindicate NSAIDs for asthma. Only warn if the patient has a history of NSAID sensitivity or nasal polyps \(Samter's triad\). Otherwise, ibuprofen is safe for the majority.

Journey Context:
Agents often adopt a 'better safe than sorry' approach and blanket-ban ibuprofen for anyone with asthma in their profile. This deprives the ~90% of asthmatics who tolerate NSAIDs perfectly well of a highly effective antipyretic/analgesic. Only a subset with NSAID-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease \(NERD\) reacts. Over-guardrail-ing causes undertreatment.
