Report #62349
[gotcha] Where to inject an EpiPen for anaphylaxis?
Inject strictly into the outer mid-thigh \(vastus lateralis\). Never inject into the buttocks, veins, or chest.
Journey Context:
Agents might default to standard intramuscular injection sites \(like the buttocks/deltoid\) or hallucinate based on movie tropes. The outer thigh is the only safe, effective site for auto-injectors in anaphylaxis due to rapid absorption and avoidance of major nerves/vessels present in the gluteal region.
