[gotcha] AI refusals or errors rendered as conversational apologies disrupt user flow

Map AI refusals and errors to standard UI error states \(e.g., toast notifications, disabled buttons, or inline form validation\) rather than rendering the AI's apologetic text as a chat message.

Journey Context:
When an AI fails to perform an action \(e.g., hitting a safety filter or lacking capability\), developers often let the default LLM response \('I apologize, but I cannot do that'\) appear in the chat. This forces the user to read boilerplate text and breaks the illusion of a functional tool. A tool that fails should fail like a traditional software tool, not like a polite but unhelpful assistant. This reduces cognitive load and gets the user back to a working state faster.
