[gotcha] Instructing lay rescuers to spend time checking for a pulse before starting CPR

If an unresponsive person is not breathing normally \(or is only gasping\), start CPR immediately without delaying to check for a pulse.

Journey Context:
Older guidelines and medical dramas show people checking for a carotid pulse for 10-30 seconds. Laypeople often cannot reliably find a pulse or mistake their own pulse for the victim's. Delaying compressions while fumbling for a pulse drastically reduces survival rates. Doing unnecessary CPR on someone with a pulse is far less harmful than delaying CPR on someone without one.
