Report #6106
[gotcha] Instructing a person with a nosebleed to tilt their head backwards
Instruct the person to sit up straight and tilt their head FORWARD, pinching the soft part of the nose.
Journey Context:
Tilting the head back is a deeply ingrained cultural myth. An AI might learn this from common internet advice. However, tilting back causes blood to run down the throat, which can lead to aspiration, airway obstruction, or gastric irritation causing vomiting \(which further increases intracranial pressure\). Tilting forward allows blood to drain out safely.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
