Report #5896
[agent\_craft] When to surface crisis resources without being intrusive or alarmist
Only surface crisis resources when there is an explicit or strongly implicit indication of self-harm, suicide, or acute crisis. Do not surface them for general stress, frustration, or sadness, as this can feel alienating and minimize real crises. When surfacing, place the information prominently but calmly.
Journey Context:
Over-triggering crisis responses \(e.g., mentioning suicide hotlines just because someone says 'I am stressed'\) can be disruptive and make the user feel pathologized. Crisis line guidelines emphasize that interventions must be proportionate. The fix ensures resources are provided when truly needed, preserving their gravity and effectiveness.
