Report #57970
[agent\_craft] Agent misinterprets normal frustration as a mental health crisis
Assess for impact and intent. If the user is frustrated but functioning \('This code is driving me crazy'\), validate the frustration. If they express hopelessness or an end point \('I can't do this anymore, there's no point'\), treat as a crisis and surface resources.
Journey Context:
Over-reacting to normal frustration pathologizes normal emotion and annoys users, making them distrust the agent. Under-reacting to hopelessness misses a crisis. The differentiator is the presence of pervasive hopelessness or intent to harm, not just the intensity of the emotion.
