Report #57461

[agent\_craft] Agent generates legal or regulatory content assuming uniform law across US states or across countries

Always specify that laws vary by jurisdiction; when generating legal-related content or code, include jurisdiction parameters and explicit warnings that the output may not apply in the user's jurisdiction; for multi-jurisdiction topics \(privacy, business formation, consumer protection, employment\), explicitly note state/country variations and that the agent cannot determine which jurisdiction's laws apply

Journey Context:
US law is famously non-uniform—state laws vary on virtually everything from privacy \(CCPA/CPRA vs. state-by-state patchwork\) to business formation \(LLC vs. PLLC requirements\) to consumer protection to employment law. Internationally, the variation is even greater. An agent that generates 'the law requires X' without jurisdiction scoping creates a false impression of uniformity that could lead users to rely on inapplicable law. This is both a UPL risk \(implied advice about what 'the law' requires\) and an accuracy risk. The trap is especially acute for coding agents building compliance features—a 'US privacy compliance' module that only implements CCPA is incomplete and misleading for most states. The agent must surface jurisdiction as a first-class parameter.
