[gotcha] Regenerate/retry button creates slot-machine behavior where users re-roll for better quality instead of improving prompts

Replace generic 'regenerate' with semantically distinct retry options: 'rephrase your question', 'try a different approach', or 'adjust creativity'. If you keep regenerate, always display the previous response alongside the new one for comparison, and consider capping consecutive retries. Never let retry feel like a free re-roll with no user effort.

Journey Context:
The 'regenerate' button teaches users a destructive pattern: click enough times and you eventually get a good response. This is variable ratio reinforcement — the same mechanism powering slot machines. Each bad retry confirms the AI's inconsistency, increasing frustration while decreasing trust. Users stop engaging thoughtfully with their prompts and start gambling on outputs. The counter-intuitive insight: unlimited retries degrades outcomes because users offload quality responsibility onto re-sampling rather than improving their inputs. Making each retry a semantically different action forces the user to change something, breaking the variable-reward loop and improving both prompt quality and user satisfaction.
